Under-pressure Tottenham boss Thomas Frank delivered when it mattered most, guiding Spurs to a commanding 2-0 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt to secure automatic qualification for the Champions League last 16. In biting German conditions, Tottenham showed resolve and maturity, traits that have too often been questioned during a turbulent domestic campaign.
Spurs, languishing in 14th in the Premier League, struck with purpose just 65 seconds into the second half. Randal Kolo Muani reacted sharply to flick home from six yards after Cristian Romero headed down Xavi Simons’ cross. It was a striker’s finish, instinctive and decisive, giving Tottenham a foothold in a contest they would increasingly control.

With momentum on their side, Tottenham pressed with authority. Substitute Dominic Solanke provided the cutting edge, racing through and firing into the bottom corner to double the lead. The second goal reflected Spurs’ growing confidence and tactical clarity.
Having been booed off in recent league outings, Frank and his squad can now turn attention back to improving their Premier League standing before Champions League action resumes in March, buoyed by a significant European night in Frankfurt.
