Tottenham enquire about Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk with loan move in mind | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur have made a formal enquiry to Chelsea over the availability of winger Mykhailo Mudryk, according to The Athletic.

Spurs are exploring a late season-long loan move for the 25-year-old before the summer transfer window closes, as head coach Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his attacking options.

A deal for Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye was recently agreed, but Manchester City have now re-entered the race for the Senegal international, putting Tottenham at risk of missing out.

A key factor in Tottenham’s pursuit is De Zerbi’s relationship with Mudryk. The Italian coach previously managed the winger at Shakhtar Donetsk, playing a pivotal role in Mudryk’s breakthrough.

De Zerbi has consistently praised Mudryk’s potential, despite the winger’s struggles in West London so far.

Mudryk is now eligible to play following the end of his suspension.

He returned to training with Chelsea during pre-season, but with the Blues well-stocked in wide areas, they are open to sanctioning a loan departure to help Mudryk secure regular minutes and rebuild his match sharpness.

While Chelsea initially considered a loan to sister club Strasbourg, Mudryk prefers to stay in the Premier League, making a reunion with De Zerbi increasingly attractive.

Leeds United have also been linked with Mudryk but have yet to agree a deal with Chelsea.

Chelsea are expected to demand full wage coverage if they approve Mudryk’s move to North London.

Mudryk is not the only Chelsea player on Tottenham’s radar, with Spurs also in talks to sign Tosin Adarabioyo.

However, that deal is dependent on Kevin Danso’s future, as the Austrian defender is attracting interest from Sunderland.
