In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are in pole position to land Dinamo Tbilisi youngster Tornike Kvaratskhelia, who is the younger brother of Paris Saint-Germain’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. It has been mentioned that Spurs would have to compete with Chelsea in the race to land the Georgian whizkid.

Kvaratskhelia’s Impressive Rise In Georgian Football

Kvaratskhelia has come through the youth ranks of Dinamo Tbilisi and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The 16-year-old has already made 13 senior appearances for the Georgian outfit so far across all fronts.

The talented teenager is currently among the most gifted young wide players in his homeland. Hence, it is no surprise that Spurs are in the running to acquire his services.

His current contract with Dinamo Tbilisi will run out in the summer of 2028, which could open the door for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal at the end of this campaign.

Kvaratskhelia is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs out in the wide areas. He has the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The Georgian prospect can even strike the ball with venom from long range. Kvaratskhelia has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Georgian football. However, the jury is still out on whether he can cope with the physical demands and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get him on board next year.
