Micky van de Ven is plotting a summer exit from Tottenham and has already begun making moves behind the scenes, according to an exclusive from FourFourTwo.
The Dutch international, who has been a standout performer since his arrival in North London, is reportedly preparing to leave the club regardless of whether they manage to secure Premier League survival.
Tottenham currently find themselves sitting at the bottom of the table in the 18th position, winless in 2026, and reeling from a late equaliser in their recent 2-2 draw with Brighton.
While the club remains embroiled in a tense relegation battle, it appears one of their most valuable assets is already looking toward his next chapter.
As per FourFourTwo, Micky van de Ven has already begun “tidying up his off-field affairs” in London, a development that typically signals a player is nearing the end of his time in a city.
This private groundwork suggests that the 25-year-old has made a definitive decision about his future, looking to avoid the uncertainty that a potential drop to the Championship would bring.
Cristian Romero is also expected to push for a move to Spain, leaving Spurs facing the prospect of losing their entire first-choice central defensive partnership.
While Van de Ven is contracted until 2029, sources suggest that Tottenham might be forced to sanction a high-profile sale, or even a loan departure, to balance the books if they are relegated.
Despite Tottenham’s disastrous season, Van de Ven’s individual stock remains incredibly high.
His recovery pace and defensive authority have made him a primary target for some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Liverpool have been linked with the Dutchman, with many viewing Van de Ven as the ideal successor to Van Dijk, who is expected to leave in 2027.
