Tottenham have intensified their pursuit of Monaco striker Folarin Balogun. According to L'Équipe, the groundwork is in place for talks over a 60 million euro transfer.

Activity is picking up at Monaco. Earlier on Tuesday, a likely parting of ways with Paul Pogba emerged, and Balogun could be the next high-profile exit.

Several English clubs, including Newcastle, and sides from Spain have monitored Balogun since the start of the summer. Now represented by Jorge Mendes, the American forward has drawn fresh interest, with Tottenham moving in recent hours.

Balogun, 25, is under contract until 2028 and is coming off a strong campaign with ASM. He scored 19 goals in 45 matches in all competitions.

A potential sale could affect Lamine Camara’s situation. Monaco’s hierarchy no longer view his departure as a necessity.
