Conor Gallagher is expected to join Tottenham from Atlético Madrid for €40m, with a medical scheduled in London on Tuesday, according to Sky Sports.
The England midfielder, 25, would be returning to the capital after previous spells at Chelsea and Crystal Palace. He has 22 senior caps.

Atlético signed Gallagher from Chelsea for €42m in the summer of 2024. He has struggled to nail down a starting place under Diego Simeone this season, with nine starts in 27 appearances in all competitions.
His arrival would strengthen Thomas Frank’s midfield options at Spurs, who have lost Rodrigo Bentancur to a hamstring injury for three months.
Tottenham are 14th in the Premier League, eight points adrift of the top four and next season’s Champions League places.
