Ismael Saibari has been told to join Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Moroccan forward is in excellent form this season, and he has 27 goal contributions in all competitions. He could prove to be a very useful addition for the North London club. They need a versatile attacker like him, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to make a move for him.
Former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulharouz believes the move to Tottenham is a good fit for him. There is no doubt that the 25-year-old has shown his quality in the Netherlands, and he’s ready for the next step. Moving to the Premier League could be ideal for his development. He would get to play alongside better players and compete at the highest level.
“If I look at Saibari, he really played the entire Eredivisie. If you look at his statistics and his style of play, that is good enough to make a transfer.” “He is a Moroccan international, has an Africa Cup behind him, and is going to play in a World Cup. Assuming he is a starter and plays well in two matches, you’re simply done. Then you have to push through,” said Boulahrouz to Voetbal Primeur. He added: “Saibari needs to go to an attacking team, where he can thrive. A nice club; they aren’t doing well at all, but he can add something extra to Tottenham Hotspur. I would go to a club where he can be important.”
They need a dynamic attacker like Saibari, and he will help create opportunities for his teammates and score goals consistently. He can operate as a set forward, in the attacking midfield role, as well as on the wings. His versatility could be ideal for Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal for him.
