Tough test to end training camp in Anif

Friendly v HNK Rijeka

On the way home from our training camp in Saalfelden, we are to stop in Anif. We face our penultimate pre-season friendly at the sports centre there on Wednesday 17 July at 18:00 CEST against Croatian runners-up HNK Rijeka.

Tickets for the clash against the Croatian side are available from around 90 minutes before kick-off at ticket points for a uniform price of € 17– (children up to the age of 12 are free). Tickets can be reserved on: info@usk-anif.at.

HNK Rijeka lowdown

We had a past meeting we would rather forget in the third UEFA Champions League qualifying round in 2017/18. After two draws (0-0 and 1-1), we exited the competition on the away goals' rule.
As current Croatian runners-up behind Dynamo Zagreb, Zeljko Sopic's side are to enter the second UEFA Europa League qualifying round - where they will face the winners of FC Corvinul Hunedoara (ROU) against Paksi FC (HUN).
The greatest success in club history was the one and only Croatian title win of 2017. They have won the domestic cup six times, however, most recently in 2020. The club also claimed several honours in the old Yugoslavian set-up.
Their estimated squad value of 38 million Euro may not be gigantic, but the team has several exciting talents in its ranks like Niko Jankovic, Toni Fruk, Veldin Hodza and Marco Pasalic.
