Fourteen outfield players and four goalkeepers were involved in the morning session, while Hugo Larsson, Can Uzun and Oscar Højlund are in rehab.
There were black adidas hats all round, and Kaua Santos was even completely wrapped up from his neck to his nose as he cycled to the training pitch. Winter is coming in Frankfurt – at least the first signs of it are causing the thermometers to drop in the heart of Europe. As the cold weather arrives, so does the final busy period of this calendar year, with seven fixtures left before the winter break. The first of those is on Saturday evening with the Bundesliga away match at 1. FC Köln, preparations for which began at Deutsche Bank Park on Tuesday morning.
Brown and Burkardt given day off With Nathaniel Brown and Jonathan Burkardt given the day off after Germany’s match against Slovakia last night and seven other Eagles in action for their national teams on Tuesday, head coach Dino Toppmöller assembled 14 outfield players and four goalkeepers for the morning session. Rehab training for trio Midfielders Farès Chaibi and Jean-Mattéo Bahoya joined in with parts of training, while Hugo Larsson, Can Uzun and Oscar Højlund did rehab work.
