The best images from our latest training session at the City Football Academy.

The Blues were hard at work ahead of a huge Barclays Women’s Super League showdown at the Etihad Stadium this Sunday.

City host Chelsea at 14:30 (UK) in a hotly anticipated clash between the WSL’s top two.

Andrée Jeglertz’s side currently hold a nine-point advantage on our rivals and come into the tie on the back of a 12-match winning league run.

However, the Londoners are the only side so far this season to better us, picking up a win on the opening day of the WSL season and in the League Cup semi-finals.

But City responded to the second of those defeats with a hard-fought win at London City Lionesses in our last outing, taking advantage of Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal.

It all points towards a fascinating tie this weekend, and one that the Blues have been working tirelessly towards on the training ground.

Alongside that hard work, though, were plenty of smiles at the CFA, with the players clearly in high spirits and excited for the contest.
