Italian Serie A club Genoa has announced the signing of 18-year-old Burkinabé midfielder Cheick Bebe Doumbia. The talented youngster has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Genoa, who currently sit 14th in Serie A. The deal is reportedly worth around €500,000 plus additional incentives.

Several Italian clubs—including Atalanta Bergamo, Inter Milan, Bologna, and Sassuolo—were in the race for the promising midfielder, but it was Genoa's project that ultimately convinced Doumbia to make the move.

Cheick Bebe Doumbia developed his game in Italy, starting out at Casarano Youth before joining ASD Team Altamura in November 2025. He quickly made a name for himself in Serie C thanks to his impressive physical attributes (standing at 1.93 meters) and technical skills. Doumbia is known for his versatility, capable of playing as a defensive midfielder.

At Genoa, Doumbia is expected to continue his development with the U20 squad before making the step up to the first team in the coming weeks and months.
