A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona continued to prove himself a more than worthy contributor to the club’s efforts on Saturday night.

And yet, post-match, it is the name of another Blaugrana star which has made its way onto the lips of many of the club’s supporters.

The player in question? Raphinha.

Continuing in his new attacking midfield role in boss Flick’s 4-2-3-1, the Brazilian dazzled against Athletic, lighting up proceedings courtesy of touch, dribbling, an eye for a pass and a crucial role in the game’s winner.

Amid constant speculation regarding his future, such excellence could not come at a better time for Raphinha, who is continuing to prove to the decision-makers at the Camp Nou that he should be going nowhere any time soon.
