The summer window is into its final stretch as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham push to complete late business. Arsenal are poised to act on Julian Alvarez, while L’Equipe reports Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are expected to reach an agreement for Bradley Barcola in the final week.
Talks over Alvarez are set to begin after Atletico Madrid named their price. Director Mateu Alemany was in London last week and made clear they would seek 150m euros (£128m). Arsenal could part-fund any move through Gabriel Martinelli’s exit and remain keen on Kenan Yildiz and Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
Igor Tyjon and Habeeb Ogunneye will be announced by Arsenal after medicals, with James Scanlon to follow. United will confirm Carlos Baleba then target Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde. Tottenham have agreed a deal for Omar Marmoush to follow Savinho from Manchester City, and Mykhailo Mudryk will not be going to Leeds.
Chelsea could move for Francisco Conceicao if Pedro Neto leaves. Manchester United and Spurs have been offered Jean-Philippe Mateta. Liverpool remain in talks over Ibrahim Mbaye, are weighing a third bid for Yankuba Minteh, and have made an enquiry for Endrick.
Deadline Day for the 2026 summer window falls on Tuesday, 1 September, with an 11pm BST cut-off. Clubs can submit a deal sheet to gain extra hours to exchange documents if moves go to the wire. The closing time returns to a more traditional slot after two summers at 7pm.
