The January transfer window has burst into life, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all working on deals ahead of the second half of the Premier League season. Mikel Arteta has publicly confirmed that the club are “actively looking” to add reinforcements, with the Gunners have been linked with a number of targets including Arda Guler, Kenan Yildiz and Rodrygo. They are set to miss out on Antoine Semenyo, who will be joining Manchester City in the coming days.

Chelsea, meanwhile, face uncertainty off the pitch following the dismissal of Enzo Maresca on New Year’s Day, with Liam Rosenior emerging as the leading candidate to take over in the dugout, but continue to work on new player recruits with a huge £130million bid for Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers the latest links. Tottenham have already confirmed Brennan Johnson’s departure to Crystal Palace, while West Ham have completed the signing of striker Pablo and are targeting Taty Castellanos, with Luis Guilherme set to join Sporting.

Liverpool are pushing ahead with recruitment plans of their own, reportedly agreeing a deal for Ifeanyi Ndukwe and now plotting a hijack of Manchester United’s interest in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

TEAMtalk report that Villa are seeking another attacking option to bolster their recent form, and sense an opportunity given Marmoush’s limited game time at City.

Villa’s reputation for reviving attacking careers has made them an attractive destination, though rival interest from Tottenham complicates matters.

City are reluctant to sell, but Antoine Semenyo’s arrival when an exit cannot be ruled out.

Liverpool could hijack Man Utd's Carlos Baleba interest

But there’s more.

TEAMtalk report that Liverpool could attempt to hijack Manchester United’s interest in Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.

No need to hold your breath, though, as any move would wait until the summer for a player who is valued at £87 million.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United have not made an official bid or opened negotiations with Brighton this month, despite maintaining contact with Baleba’s representatives.

Brighton are determined to keep the player in January, meaning only an extraordinary offer could change their stance.

Brighton expect Manchester United target Carlos Baleba to play a key role in the second half of the season.

Brighton CEO Paul Barber said: "[We have had] no call from anyone connected to Manchester United.

"We have no plans or desire to sell Carlos in this window, or in any future window but we know he's a talented player and he's got a lot of options ahead of him in the future."

It's not a definite no, is it?

Arsenal have been given encouragement amid interest in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo.

Liam Rosenior issues update on future amid Chelsea interest

Talk of signings coming in at Chelsea, but they remain without a manager.

First-choice target Liam Rosenior has insisted that there is “nothing concrete” in rumours linking him with the vacant managerial position.

The 41-year-old cut an emotional figure after Strasbourg’s 1-1 draw with Nice in Ligue 1, with the Englishman’s side seventh in the French top tier.

Last term, he led them to a seventh-placed finish, and they qualified for the Europa Conference League, where they have played Crystal Palace this season.

Rosenior masterminded a 2-1 win for the French side back in November, and his work across the Channel has impressed the BlueCo hierarchy, who also oversee Strasbourg.

Asked about a potential move to Chelsea, Rosenior replied: "I know nothing more.

“There is nothing concrete. I don't know what will happen. I love this club more than many people think. These are the 18 best months of my professional life."

Pressed on his future, Rosenior admitted that he did not know if he had taken charge of his last game in Alsace-Lorraine.
