Just hours after Kader Meité’s departure for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, Rennes is searching for another young striker to bolster the squad. According to Foot Mercato, the Rennes side has set its sights on Moroccan forward Yassir Zabiri from Famalicao.

The young prospect made a huge impression at the U20 World Cup, which he won with Morocco just a few weeks ago. Scoring 5 goals (plus 1 assist) during the tournament—including a brace in the final—the 20-year-old striker has seen his stock rise since returning to club action, featuring in several matches in the Portuguese top flight (4 goals).

Yassir Zabiri has certainly piqued Rennes’ interest, and the club is monitoring his situation closely, with a move potentially on the cards.
