PSG's Donnarumma coup Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan until 2026. Donnarumma, 22, was recently named the best player at the UEFA EURO 2008, which he won with Italy. It was a big coup for the club to lure the European champion on a free transfer, as they did with Spanish defender Sergio Ramos and Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who had come to the end of their contracts with Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively.
"I am very happy to be part of this great club, Paris Saint-Germain. I feel ready to take on this new challenge, and continue to grow here," Donnarumma was quoted as saying in a PSG statement. "With Paris, I want to win as much as possible and give the fans plenty to smile about." Luan Peres bolsters OM's defence Meanwhile at the capital Lub's arch-rivals Marseille, Brazilian defender Luan Peres has signed a four-year contract after passing his medical, the club announced in a statement on Wednesday. He is the seventh new signing of the summer transfer window. Luan Peres, 26, played for several clubs in Brazil, Portuguesa, Santa Cruz, RB Brasil, Ponte Preta, Fluminense and Ituano until 2018, when he made the choice to leave South America for Europe and signed for Club Bruges in Belgium. After six months, the central defender returned to Brazil on loan to Santos, where he flourished, playing 89 games.
In 2019, he played under a certain Jorge Sampaoli, the coach with whom he will be reunited at OM. In February, he was definitively transferred to Santos and now heads back across the Atlantic for his four-year stint at the Orange Vélodrome.
"He is a left-footed central defender who can also play at left-back. Luan Peres, who stands at 190cm, is a fast player with a good passing game," OM said in a statement. "After Luis Henrique and Gerson, Luan Peres becomes the third Brazilian in the current squad and he will use all his energy and talent to help the club achieve its objectives." Nice sign Dutch prospect Calvin Stengs Dutch international right winger Calvin Stengs has signed for OGC Nice, the club announced on Wednesday. He is the club's first summer signing (excluding loan returns and the permanent signing of Jean-Clair Todibo). Stengs' Dutch club AZ Alkmaar and OGC Nice have agreed a deal for the left-footed prospect, the club said. Stengs, who at the age of 22 has made 87 appearances and scored 14 goals in the Dutch top flight, has signed for an undisclosed duration.
New Nice coach Christophe Galtier, who wanted reinforcements on the flanks of his 4-4-2 formation, now has a player capable of playing on both wings. Stengs was a member of the Dutch U21 team that won the recent UEFA European Championship in that category, where he came up against new club mate Amine Gouiri in the quarterfinals. Stengs underwent the traditional medical examination on Wednesday and will join the team in Divonne-Les-Bains (Ain), where the Aiglons' pre-season training camp has been held for the past eight years. Lucas Perrin loaned to Strasbourg Lucas Perrin has been loaned out to Strasbourg on a one-year deal with an option to buy, the Ligue 1 club Uber Eats, now coached by Julien Stephan, announced on Wednesday. The 22-year-old joined his new teammates at their pre-season training camp in Evian. A professional since May 2018, Perrin made his Ligue 1 Uber Eats debut with OM against Dijon on 24 September 2019.
However, the defender has been little used at OM, a club for whom he has only played 11 games. Perrin is Racing's second summer signing, following the arrival of Polish full-back Karol Fila from Lechia Gdansk. His arrival will partly compensate for the departures of centre-backs Mohamed Simakan to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and Stefan Mitrovic to Spanish side Getafe. Andreaw Gravillon to Reims, Azzedine Ounahi to Angers Andreaw Gravillon has joined a new Ligue 1 Uber Eats club. After a loan spell at FC Lorient last season, the 23-year-old central defender - a youth product of Inter Milan, where he is under contract until 2023 - is on loan to the Champenois for the 2021-22 season with an option to buy.
"The first contact was very important for me and I immediately felt that there was a real desire on the part of the club," said the new number 6 of the SdR on the club's website. "I didn't think twice about it." Meanwhile at Angers SCO, young midfielder from Avranches (N1), Azzedine Ounahi (21 years old), has signed for the next four seasons.
