Troyes' Guinea-Bissau striker Mama Baldé has joined Olympique Lyonnais on loan until 30 June 2024. The €2 million loan has a €6 million purchase option, to which €500,000 may be added, as well as a 10% interest on any capital gain on resale. Baldé, 27, played in France for Dijon (2019-2021) and Troyes.
Goal sensation
Last season, with ESTAC, he scored twelve goals in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Before arriving in the French league, Mama Baldé had played in Portugal, with Sporting Lisbon and then Aves, with whom he won the Portuguese Cup in 2018. He has twenty caps for his country.
A few minutes later, Laurent Blanc's side announced a second arrival in the attacking sector with the loan of Ernest Nuamah from RWD Molenbeek. Trained at Ghana's 'Right to Dream' academy, the 1.78m young international striker, who has the ability to play in all attacking positions, had been with Danish top-flight club Nordsjaelland since January 2022. Last season, he finished as the Danish league's top player and top scorer with 12 goals in 30 games.
Marseille recruit a full-back, Duverne to Nantes
From Panama to Marseille! Amir Murillo is a new player at OM, having played for Anderlecht for three and a half years. The 27-year-old Panamanian international defender signed for the club on Wednesday. After starting out in his homeland with San Francisco FC, he played in MLS with New York Red Bulls before moving to Belgium at the end of 2019. The man who played in the 2018 World Cup with Panama (66 caps) mainly plays as a right-back.
Jean-Kévin Duverne has bounced back at FC Nantes. The 26-year-old defender has signed a four-season contract with Les Canaris, having been released from his contract since leaving Stade Brestois 29.
"Athletic and powerful [1m86, 71 kg], with great ball-winning skills, he is an experienced defender with a perfect knowledge of French football [112 matches in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 87 matches in Ligue 2 BKT], who comes to reinforce the Nantes rearguard!" FC Nantes said in its press release.
A young Turkish striker at Rennes
For their part, Stade Rennais FC announced on Tuesday evening the signing of Turkish striker Bertug Yildirim on a five-year contract. The athletic 21-year-old striker has played for Hatayspor and Antalyaspor, and has eight goals and four assists to his name in 48 Süper Lig games.
"I joined Stade Rennais to prove that I can compete in this league," explained the Turkish U-21 international. "I'll be surrounded by renowned players, and I'll be well looked after so that I can progress. The idea of playing in the Europa League is also very exciting."
