Tresoldi held talks with Klopp and Mancini over international allegiance | OneFootball

Nicolò Tresoldi says he spoke to Jürgen Klopp and Roberto Mancini, but has yet to make a decision over his international future.

“I wear the Germany shirt with pride, I'm very happy to be here," the DFB U-21 star explained in an interview with BILD.

"I want to play the [U-21] Euros with Germany. After that, we'll see what happens next. I had good talks with Jürgen Klopp.

"I explained my situation to him, and he understood. He's a great guy. It wasn't a typical coach-player conversation.

"It was more like a father-son talk. He said that the door is always open for me. I said the same thing to Roberto Mancini.

“It's not just that my father comes from Italy. I was born and raised there too,” the striker who plays for Club Brugge added. 

The 21-year-old has never worn Azzurri blue, but has produced 12 goals and 2 assists in 24 games at German U-21 level to date. 

He also made the jump to that grade by skipping the U-20 side having returned 3 goals in 8 outings for the German U-19 side.
