Chelsea were without Wesley Fofana for the game against Arsenal, but for once it wasn’t because of injury. The defender had got himself sent off in the game against Burnley the week before, costing his team a win that game as well as any chance against the Gunners.

But looking forward rather than backward, Fofana is confident this team can still get things done this season. Despite missing the Arsenal game, he’s had a consistent season in terms of availability:

“After a lot of injuries, I think I’ve played the most games ever since I came to Chelsea. So I’m happy, I need to stay fit, I need to continue to play more games and try to help the team,” the defender said in quotes on the club’s official website.

“So for me it’s very good, I’m happy, but I will be more happy if we win something at the end of the season.

“My aim is winning a trophy. We have a few competitions to play. For sure, winning the Premier League is a little bit harder, but the aim is to finish in the top three, win the FA Cup, win the Champions League. We are a big club, everyone is focused on that and we try.”

In other news…

Jorrel Hato has had to step up in recent games, and he talked to the Chelsea site about how he can earn more minutes.

Hato also spoke about Chelsea’s game against Aston Villa tomorrow night, which he’s expected to start. He called it “a big one,” and he’s not wrong.
