The Juventus Men’s First Team will be back in Serie A action on Saturday, 20 September, away to Hellas Verona. Kick-off in Veneto is fixed for 18:00 CEST.

Ahead of the trip across Northern Italy, coach Igor Tudor attended his usual pre-match press duties at the Allianz Stadium.

AWAY AGAINST HELLAS

"The last two games are already behind us, our focus is only on the game in Verona. It’s true that we’ve played two intense games against Inter and Borussia Dortmund, and for the first time we’ll be playing three matches in eight days, but we're all focused solely on the next one.

"We cannot make excuses, and we won’t. It’s clear that mental clarity will be essential against Verona. Tomorrow’s match will be won with our heads. We can win if we play at our best. If we don’t take the field 100% focused, we’ll struggle there.”

THE INDIVIDUALS

“Everyone is available and, as I always tell them, they’re all starters to me, because even those who come off the bench during the game can play an important role. With five substitutions available, matches are often decided late on, and we showed that against Inter and Borussia Dortmund.

“[Francisco] Conceicao and [Edon] Zhegrova won’t be able to play for the full 90 minutes, but they can be very useful. Edon still doesn’t have many minutes in his legs, so we’ll evaluate things and plan correctly.

“[Lloyd] Kelly? There hasn’t been much objectivity in the way people talk about him and there have been too many rushed judgments. Now that he’s scored two goals, it seems like he’s a completely different player, but in reality, he’s always been the same since I arrived. He’s a humble, serious guy, and he’s eager to learn. Since I’ve been here, he’s made very few mistakes, and there’s still plenty of room for growth.

“[Michele] Di Gregorio is a great goalkeeper, and since I’ve been here, he’s made very few mistakes. He’s our starting goalkeeper and will remain so for the whole season.

“Dusan [Vlahovic] is less in his own head and more focused, and that is key for him, it allows him to perform at his highest level and show his full potential.

“Juan [Cabal] is improving physically, he’s a player I really like, and he can play in multiple roles. He’s important to me, I know I can count on him."

BACK IN VERONA

"Returning to Verona will be special. I had a great experience there as a coach, it was a positive season, and I want to publicly thank former President Maurizio Setti for his kind words about me."
