Over the past couple of weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about how there is a rift developing in the Real Madrid locker room, with several players unhappy with manager Xabi Alonso and his methods.
Reports suggested that some big names in the dressing room, including Vinicius Jr. and Federico Valverde, among others, were not happy and satisfied with the manager, while others like Kylian Mbappe and Thibaut Courtois were pleased with how things were being done.
The speculations coincided with the team’s disappointing run of three games without a win in all competitions.
However, according to journalist Edu Aguirre on El Chiringuito TV, Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso met with several players in recent days to address the alleged problems.
Indeed, the 44-year-old tactician interacted with players in small groups of 3-4 to discuss the situation and ask them how he could improve things.

This is believed to be seen as a key turning point for Alonso at Real Madrid, with the report suggesting that the feeling within the dressing room has gotten better since the meetings.
It was also seen on the field last night as Real Madrid got back to winning ways, defeating Olympiacos 4-3, riding on the brilliance of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
The French superstar scored all the four goals on the night in Athens, with Vinicius assisting two of those, while the Brazilian himself found the back of the net once but saw his goal ruled out.
There is still a long way to go for Alonso and Real Madrid and there are issues that still need to be addressed. But it seems like the team has taken a step forward after all the recent talks of a crisis.
