Twente climb into top six after four-goal first half at Groningen | OneFootball

Groningen and FC Twente drew 2-2 at Euroborg, a result that lifts Twente from 12th to 6th and drops Groningen to 9th in the Eredivisie.

In the sixth minute, Marko Pjaca bent a left-footer into the bottom corner after Wout Weghorst's lay-off to put Twente ahead.

Thom van Bergen levelled with a low finish after David van der Werff's pass (18.), then Tygo Land swept Groningen in front from Thijmen Blokzijl's assist (29.).

Weghorst restored parity with a close-range finish from Younes Taha's cross (40.).

After the restart, Etienne Vaessen tipped over a rising drive from Taha (55.). The Groningen keeper later denied Weghorst's central effort (76.) as the visitors pushed for a winner.

Groningen tallied 21 attempts and won eight corners. Twente saw 54.3% of the ball and produced 16 attempts.
