It is expected that certain Barcelona players will end up leaving the club before the end of the summer transfer window. After all, Hansi Flick has a competitive squad, and certain players are not in his plans for next season. As such, they are expected to leave for other clubs.
However, there still seems to be some level of uncertainty regarding a few players. Without a clear idea of what their next move would be, it seems clear enough that those players will need to make a big decision sooner rather than later.

Two such players, as highlighted by MARCA, are Oriol Romeu and Hector Fort. Both the veteran and the youngster are yet to make a final call on their respective futures, but they are both expected to leave this summer.
In Romeu’s case, the 33-year-old midfielder is expected to leave on a free transfer once his current contract is terminated. The Spaniard would waive the final year of his contract in return, and that is why Barça is okay with him leaving on a free transfer.
As for Fort, the youngster does not seem to be in Flick’s plans either. The 19-year-old right-back, despite the qualities he offers, is not exactly an important piece for Flick’s team on the right flank nor on the left flank.
With players like Jules Kounde, Alejandro Balde, Gerard Martin, Jofre Torrents, and Eric Garcia at his disposal, Flick does not feel the need to have Fort as part of his squad either. As for his potential suitors, the player has loan options and permanent deals on the table as well.
According to the report, however, his exit will likely involve a loan deal with an option to buy. While this is neither guaranteed nor confirmed just yet, it is reportedly the most likely kind of operation that Fort will end up being a part of.
