Two Juventus defenders expected to leave on loan soon

Following their recent signings, Juventus have a bloated squad and must make some sales in the next few days as the transfer window approaches its close.

The club have managed to sign players in each position, giving Luciano Spalletti a stronger team than the one he had at the start of the summer. The Bianconeri want to win several trophies this season, and Spalletti now has a squad capable of competing for major honours, leaving him with little room for excuses.

Juventus Need to Reduce Squad Size

However, Spalletti’s squad is now too large, and the club are working to trim it down as they look to ensure that only important players remain. According to Football Italia, Daniele Rugani and Juan Cabal are expected to leave in the coming days as Juventus continue their efforts to reduce the size of the group.

Both players have become even more surplus to requirements following the arrival of Jhon Lucumi, with the club believing it makes little sense for Rugani and Cabal to remain if they are unlikely to receive enough playing time.

Juventus therefore need to find suitable solutions for the two defenders before the transfer window closes. Their departures would allow the club to create more space in the squad while also reducing the number of players Spalletti has to manage throughout the season.

Loan Moves Could Benefit Everyone

Loan moves are being lined up for Rugani and Cabal, which would help Juventus cover some of their wages in the coming months. At the same time, both players would have opportunities to play regularly rather than remaining in a squad where competition for places could limit their involvement.

The arrangement could therefore benefit all parties. Juventus would reduce the size of their squad and ease some of their financial commitments, while Rugani and Cabal would have the chance to gain regular playing time elsewhere.

With the transfer window closing soon, the club must now work quickly to complete the departures. Juventus have strengthened their squad significantly this summer, but they also need to ensure that the group remains manageable for Spalletti.

The expected exits of Rugani and Cabal would be an important step towards achieving that balance, while allowing Juventus to focus on the players they believe can contribute most to their pursuit of trophies.
