Juventus remain interested in a move for Alisson Becker, the main goalkeeper they wanted to sign at the start of the last transfer window.

Just before the season ended, Liverpool triggered an extension to his contract because they did not believe their team was ready to function without him at that stage. The Reds therefore never allowed Juve to add him to their squad, while the Brazilian also did not push for a move, despite wanting to join Juve and sign a longer contract.

However, his contract now expires at the end of this season, and there is still uncertainty over whether Liverpool will offer him a new deal.

Juventus Wait for Liverpool Decision

This is also an issue for Juve, as the Bianconeri continue to see Alisson as the ideal first-choice goalkeeper to add to their squad. They are expected to speak to him again in January as they continue to monitor his situation.

Liverpool have the option to offer him a new contract, but they have also signed other goalkeepers who could be ready to take over from him from next season. This could mean that the current campaign is Alisson’s last season on their books.

Juventus will therefore continue to monitor developments at Liverpool before deciding how strongly to pursue the Brazilian. His experience and status as an established first-choice goalkeeper make him an attractive option for the Bianconeri.

Alisson’s Future Remains Uncertain

For Juventus, signing Alisson as a free agent would provide an opportunity to add their preferred goalkeeper without having to negotiate a transfer fee with Liverpool. However, everything depends on the English club’s decision regarding his contract.

If Liverpool decide to offer Alisson another deal, Juve could face a different situation. The goalkeeper would then have to decide whether to remain at Anfield or consider the opportunity to move to Turin.
