Juventus coach Thiago Motta was forced to make two substitutions in the opening 11 minutes of a Champions League game against RB Salzburg as both Gleison Bremer and Nico Gonzalez sustained injuries.
Two Juventus stars, Bremer and Nico Gonzalez, were forced off the pitch in the opening 11 minutes of a Champions League game against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
The Brazilian centre-back was the first to be subbed off after just six minutes.
Lois Openda won a shoulder challenge and saw the Juventus defender accidentally twist his left ankle. The ex-Torino centre-back received medical treatment on the pitch before Federico Gatti was introduced to replace him. According to Amazon Prime Video, Bremer’s injury could also involve his left knee.
A few minutes later, his teammate Nico Gonzalez suffered a muscle injury and was replaced by Portuguese winger Francisco Conceiçao.
Injuries to Bremer and Nico in the opening 11 minutes also mean that Thiago Motta has already used two substitution slots out of three.
