FC Barcelona announced yesterday that they are set to make their long-awaited return to the Spotify Camp Nou for their La Liga game against Athletic Club on Saturday.

Having enjoyed a couple of weeks’ break due to the November international matches, Hansi Flick has had an opportunity to recover some of his star players who have been out injured.

According to Javi Miguel, two Barcelona stars, Raphinha and Pedri, are expected to join group training today. The duo will test their sensations ahead of the clash against the Basque opponents.

Raphinha has been out injured for a couple of months, suffering a relapse in the process. He was expected to return against Real Madrid but was unable to do so due to complications.

Pedri, on the other hand, suffered an injury in the game against Real Madrid and was also sent off, which has seen him miss a couple of games. He is expected to make a swift return ahead of the crucial Champions League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Both players are fundamental to the way Barcelona play under Hansi Flick, and the German manager will be glad to have them at his disposal again.

Although neither is likely to be ready to start against Bilbao, it is great news that they may be available for the return to the Spotify Camp Nou, and let us hope the team can mark the occasion with a victory.
