Two more years: Corinthians extend deal with star Brabas defender

Throughout the afternoon of this Tuesday (16th), Corinthians announced the contract renewal with defender Erika, aged 37, for another two seasons – until December 2027. Previously, her contract with the club was only until the end of this year.

Erika was signed by Corinthians in 2018 after an important stint at Paris Saint Germain, France. Between 2021 and 2023, the defender faced a turbulent period, undergoing surgeries on the right knee's cruciate ligament and the same area on the left leg.

In total, Erika has played 146 matches wearing the Corinthians jersey (116 as a starter), with 116 wins, 20 draws, and 10 losses – an 84.02% success rate. So far, she has scored 21 goals and provided one assist. Additionally, she has won 13 titles: Brasileirão (2018, 2020, 2024, and 2025), Campeonato Paulista (2019, 2020, and 2021), Copa Paulista (2022), and Libertadores (2019, 2021, 2024, and 2025).

Besides Erika, Corinthians has already announced renewals with goalkeepers Nicole and Lelê, right-back Gi Fernandes, and left-back Tamires. On the other hand, leaving the club at the end of this year are goalkeeper Kemelli and defender Mariza. The futures of right-backs Letícia Santos and Paulinho, as well as forward Eudimila, remain undefined.
