Tyrique George had a positive start to life as an Everton player after coming on from the bench against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
It was shortly after he came on in the 69th minute that the Toffees managed to turn the game around, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1. It was their 10th win of the season, their seventh on the road, and the Toffees find themselves eighth in the league table.
“Yeah, Tyrique came on and did quite well. I've quite liked what I've seen in training,” David Moyes said after the win.
“We've got to watch that we're not bringing in somebody who might not be ready, but I thought he looked fine. He had a hand in the goal. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to [seeing more of him] because he's looked good enough in training. He wants to score and we need people who want to score. That's important to us.”
George was signed on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day and Everton have an option to buy the youngster. On his debut against Fulham, the 20-year-old had one shot, one successful dribble, made nine out of 11 passes and two recoveries.
