Throughout the competition's history, several players have set records for youthful appearances, but a select few have taken part in the tournament at just 13 years old.

The youngest player ever to feature in a U17 World Cup match is Guinea’s Morlaye Soumah. The central defender played against the United States at the 1985 World Cup when he was just 13 years, 8 months, and 27 days old.

Other players have also graced the competition at 13: Rashid Suwaid (13 years, 10 months, 17 days), Mamadu Jalloh (13 years, 10 months, 17 days), Zamel Al Kuwari (13 years, 10 months, 26 days), Kalil Camara (13 years, 10 months, 28 days), and Fatai Atere (13 years, 11 months, 29 days).
