Leeds United round off the Premier League International Cup group stages on Thursday, as they welcome Belgian outfit RSC Anderlecht to the LNER Community Stadium.
The Whites’ fate remains their own hands and a win could see them progress to the knockout stages alongside the likes of Real Madrid, Dinamo Zagreb and Benfica.
The test for Scott Gardner’s side comes after two impressive victories already in the campaign, beginning with a dramatic last-gasp victory over Portugal’s Sporting CP thanks to Reuben Lopata-White’s injury time strike.
The Whites then followed that result with a commanding 2-0 triumph over Basque side Athletic Club, where skipper Alfie Cresswell and substitute Logan White were on target against the Bilbao outfit.
And though United were then beaten by an experienced Borussia Dortmund side, they can still finish first or second in their group with a win against the Purple and Whites in York.
In the competition, Anderlecht have drawn once and won once. That victory came last time out in emphatic fashion, beating Manchester United 4-1 away from home.
Action from the LNER Community Stadium gets underway at 7pm.
