Marseille have been handed an away ticket sales ban for their next European away match after fireworks were used in Bruges in the Champions League.

UEFA confirmed its disciplinary panel has activated a suspended punishment from a 28 February 2024 decision, prohibiting Olympique de Marseille from selling tickets to their supporters for their next UEFA interclub away fixture.

The club were also fined 25,000 euros and given an additional one-match away ticket ban, suspended, with a probationary period of two years.

Marseille’s trip to Bruges on 28 January ended in a 3-0 defeat and Champions League elimination.

The decision was issued on Wednesday.
