UEFA Nations League: Bayern’s French duo face Can Uzun’s Türkiye | OneFootball

FC Bayern duo Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise start for France against Türkiye in the opening matchday of the UEFA Nations League.

Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise are in Zinedine Zidane’s first starting XI as France’s head coach as the two-time UEFA Nations League semi-finalists face Türkiye in İzmit. The FC Bayern duo helped Les Bleus to reach the last four of the World Cup in the summer.

The hosts won promotion to League A after their top-two finish from their group in the 2024/25 season. Hoffenheim’s center-back Ozan Kabak starts on the bench, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s highly-rated attacking midfielder Can Uzun made Vincenzo Montella’s lineup.

There are also four former Bundesliga players starting on both sides – Ousmane Dembélé, Maxence Lacroix, Manu Koné and Salih Özcan.
