FC Bayern Munich Honorary President Uli Hoeneß – in addition to commenting on some of his club’s non-transfers this summer – has also spoken on the prospect of Bundesliga legend Thomas Müller moving to America’s MLS. Hoeneß was asked about Müller as part of a recent interview with BRsport24.
What did Hoeneß think about the prospect of Müller moving to LA Galaxy? Not much. Whilst Los Galácticos might have served as a decent fit for Dortmund legend Marco Reus, Hoeneß didn’t think Müller belonged to the “Californication Class”.
“I told him my opinion that it would be better for him to stop [playing entirely],” he said. “But if he really wants to, he should do it. I’m not that interested in the American league. It has improved thanks to the top stars who have been bought, but if you’ve played for Bayern Munich and then move to Los Angeles? It’s not the same grade.“
