Sevilla will host Aston Villa in the 15th Trofeo Antonio Puerta at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán on two October at 20:30, pitting Luis García Plaza’s side against Unai Emery’s team. The fixture brings Emery back to the Andalusian capital.

The club said in a statement that Villa’s involvement makes England the seventh nation to feature in the tribute, and that this is the first time the tournament has included representation from the Premier League.

This year’s edition falls outside the usual pre-season slot. It is the fifth time the match has moved, after games in November 2010 against Granada CF, November 2013 versus UD Almería, November 2016 against Boca Juniors and March 2019 against Schalke 04.

Emery managed Sevilla from 2013 to 2016, winning three successive Europa Leagues and leaving a lasting mark before continuing his career elsewhere in Europe.

Season-ticket holders can activate their cards for free from Monday at 15:00 until 20 September at 23:59. After that window they can still claim a free ticket, though their usual seat is not guaranteed.

Members will have an exclusive pre-sale during that period and retain a 50% discount until matchday.

General sale opens on 22 September at 12:00, with prices ranging from 10 to 20 euros.
