Unbeaten Villarreal B host under-pressure UD Ibiza | OneFootball

Unbeaten Villarreal CF B face a stern examination at the Mini Estadi on Sunday at 12:00, seeking to extend their bright start and turn home into a fortress.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, head coach David Albelda will be without the versatile César Bonafé, sidelined after an injury in recent training, which is set to prompt tactical adjustments.

Raúl Llona’s UD Ibiza have opened poorly and travel needing points. They have yet to win away, after setbacks at Antequera and Real Jaén, and suffered a recent home defeat against Real Zaragoza. Even so, the Balearic side are competitive and will chase a turning point in Castellón.

History warns that Ibiza are awkward visitors for the yellow reserve at the Mini Estadi. Across four previous trips there has been only one home win, one draw and two defeats. In 2022/23 Diego Collado delivered the narrow victory.

After last season’s 0-0, Villarreal B will aim to end that run and consolidate their place near the top.
