‘Unbelievable’ – Tottenham Hotspur Star Delighted With New Arrivals | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven has hailed the club’s summer arrivals, describing the new signings as ‘unbelievable’ and praising how quickly they have settled into the squad.

The Lilywhites have embarked on a major rebuild after surviving on the final day of the season following back-to-back 17th-place finishes in the Premier League, with Roberto De Zerbi already bringing in several of his preferred targets.

The Italian has reunited with former player Jan Paul van Hecke in defence, while Marcos Senesi has also arrived alongside midfield additions Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.

Experienced full-back Andrew Robertson has joined on a free transfer after his Liverpool contract expired at the end of last month.

Spurs have made a strong start to pre-season, beating MK Dons 1-0 and Auckland 2-0, with several players making their debuts during the Australia and New Zealand tour.

Van de Ven said the atmosphere around the squad has been excellent throughout pre-season and credited De Zerbi with making a positive early impression.

The 25-year-old revealed he has relished working under the Italian and pointed to the team’s approach during preparations as a key factor.

He also praised the club’s new signings, saying they have settled in quickly and become part of the group with ease.

Van de Ven was quoted as saying by the BBC: “The feeling of the team is really good, to be honest.

“I have really enjoyed working with him [De Zerbi].

“That’s what we have been doing in this pre-season, and the guys who are coming in have been unbelievable as well.

“They have fit in well to the group.”

Meanwhile, Spurs’ work in the transfer market is far from finished, with further changes expected before the window closes, as De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.

The club remain interested in Cody Gakpo after receiving encouragement that Liverpool could need to sanction a sale to fund a Bradley Barcola move, while Richarlison is also understood to be among the players
