Under-17s and Under-15s kick off Paulista second phase

This Saturday (15), São Paulo’s U-15 and U-17 teams begin the second phase of the Paulista Championship. The U-15 faces Monte Azul at 9 a.m. at Otacília Patrício Arroyo, in Monte Azul Paulista (SP). Meanwhile, the U-17 takes on Salto at 11 a.m. at Amadeu Mosca, in Salto (SP). Then on Sunday (16), the U-20 continues its state campaign against Ibrachina at 3 p.m. in the 12th round, with live coverage on YouTube Energia 97 FM.

The U-15 and U-17 had a positive record in the first phase of the state tournament. The U-15, coached by Vinícius dos Santos, played 12 matches, winning 11 and drawing one. The team scored 55 goals and conceded only four, results that secured sole possession of first place in Group 10 with 34 points. Coach Alexandre Torrezan’s U-17 also finished the first phase at the top of Group 10. In 12 matches, the team earned nine wins, two draws, and suffered just one defeat. They scored 47 goals and conceded eight, totaling 29 points.

The U-20 is also doing well in the state tournament. With four matches remaining in the first phase, the team led by Júlio Baptista sits in second place in Group 2 with 21 points, six behind this Sunday’s opponent, Ibrachina. The junior team has played ten matches, with six wins, three draws, and only one loss. They have scored 17 goals and conceded four. After a week of matches and training sessions, all three teams held their final training sessions before their matchups, focusing on set pieces and tactical adjustments.

To wrap up the weekend, on Sunday (16) morning before the U-20 match, the U-13 and U-14 teams face São Bento at Serra da Colina, in Ibiúna, in the 12th round of the Paulista Championship. The U-13 kicks off at 9 a.m., while the U-14 is scheduled to start at 10:40 a.m.
