Under-17s go through as group winners at Youth Club World Cup

São Paulo’s U-17 team finished the group stage of the FIFA Youth Club World Cup at the top of Group 3. This Thursday (4), Tricolor drew 0-0 with Málaga, Spain, at María Dolores Jiménez Guardeño Stadium, in Cabra (Córdoba).

In the extra-point shootout, Málaga won 3-2 on penalties. Even so, the Made in Cotia side secured first place in the group and advanced to the quarterfinals on goal difference, after a 6-0 rout of Sporting, Portugal, in the previous round and a 2-2 draw with Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia, in the opener.
