Unión have almost everything sorted for Boca, but Madelón waits on Menossi | OneFootball

Unión trained this Thursday morning and then traveled to Buenos Aires, where they will visit Boca this Friday. Leonardo Madelón still has one doubt in mind when it comes to naming the team, as Lucas Menossi worked separately again and will be given until the last minute.

The midfielder is dealing with a knock that has been bothering him since the start of the semester. Although he trained separately over the last two days, the coaching staff’s intention is to have him available for the match against the Xeneize.

If Menossi is ultimately not fit in time, Emilio Giaccone appears as the main alternative. The midfielder will also travel with the squad, so Madelón will have time to assess the situation before confirming the lineup.

The other doubt is on the left side of midfield. Brahian Cuello, who started against Independiente, is fighting to keep his place, while Mauro Luna Diale is also an option to come into the starting lineup. Unión’s official information also includes Ignacio Malcorra among the options for that position.

The rest of the team would be the same one that started the match against Independiente. In that way, Tatengue’s probable lineup would be:

Mansilla; Pintado, Rocha, Ludueña and Ayala; Palacios, Menossi or Giaccone, Mosqueira and Cuello or Luna Diale; Estigarribia and Tarragona.

At La Bombonera, Unión will look to bounce back after the defeat to Independiente and take on a new challenge away from Santa Fe. The match against Boca is scheduled for this Friday night.
