Union unveil signing of former Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath from Atlanta | OneFootball

1. FC Union Berlin have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of 27-year-old Ivorian striker Emmanuel Latte Lath.

The former Middlesbrough striker makes the switch to the German capital on loan from Atlanta United FC.

“The talks with Union have been very positive from the start, and I have already had the opportunity to experience the atmosphere at the Alte Försterei," said Emmanuel Latte Lath. 

“I look forward to getting to know the team, contributing to our success, and feeling the support of the fans. The Bundesliga is a great challenge that I am very excited about. I want to use the chance to prove myself at this level and to help the team with my qualities.”

Union Berlin managing director for professional football Horst Heldt welcomes the arrival of the striker.

“Emmanuel has worked his way up to a high level step by step and has proven his quality in different countries. With his pace, mentality, and goal instinct, he fits very well with the profile we were looking for in our attack. He brings attributes that will give our game additional options, and we are therefore convinced that he will quickly integrate into our team with his style," he said.
