Lloyd Jones led Charlton Athletic to a 2-0 win at Leicester City with a commanding defensive display, dominating aerial duels and clearing danger throughout.
Early on he set the tone, winning first contacts and organising the back line as the visitors settled away from home.
In the 51st minute, Jones cushioned a header for Matt Godden, drawing a low save from Jakub Stolarczyk. He then nodded another pass into Lyndon Dykes' path (63.), again pushing the Foxes back.
He finished with 10 clearances, 8 aerials won and 3 key passes, a blend that showed control of his penalty area and provided a direct outlet whenever Charlton Athletic broke.
By attacking high balls and holding position, Jones kept the Foxes at arm's length and gave Charlton Athletic a platform to play from.
Charlton Athletic climb from 19th to 18th in the Championship and host Queens Park Rangers next. The Foxes visit Birmingham next.
