Former Valencia midfielder Uros Račić has returned to the spotlight after sharing an Instagram story from Mestalla, prompting a swift reaction from supporters.
According to Superdeporte, the post was made from inside the stadium and carried the word 'amunt' with a bat and a heart-eyes emoji. There was no official context, and the reason for any visit has not been disclosed.
The image quickly revived memories of his spell at the club, with some reading it as a fond nod to Valencia and others treating it as a casual stop with no sporting implications.
Račić joined Valencia from Red Star Belgrade as a highly rated prospect, moving into the first-team picture and spending periods out on loan while gaining experience in Spanish football.
During his time at Mestalla he offered physical presence and a strong shot from range, but never fully cemented a starting berth, remaining part of the rotation over several seasons.
In total he made 84 competitive appearances for Valencia, scoring two goals with two assists, and started 54 matches. The post has, for now, put his name back in the online chatter around Mestalla.
