USA Women beat Brazil, Japan level very late against Colombia

The latest women’s friendly internationals saw USA beat Brazil 2-0 and Japan miss one penalty but score another to draw with Colombia.
USA beat Brazil 2-0 with a goal in either half, watched by a crowd of over 32,000 in Los Angeles. Trinity Rodman scored after just six minutes, from a pass by Alyssa Thompson. Lindsey Heaps doubled the advantage midway through the second period from the penalty spot, after Lily Yohannes had been brought down in the box.
Mexico struck three times in 15 first-half minutes against Jamaica. Alexia Delgado opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, Christina Burkenroad and Rebeca Bernal the other scorers in the match played in the US.
Japan drew 1-1 with Colombia after putting away a stoppage-time penalty. Four minutes after Hinata Miyazawa missed an earlier spot-kick, Karla Torres scored for Colombia. Japan got a second chance from 12 yards in the 93rd minute and Hana Takahashi successfully converted.
China scored two goals late in the first half through Zhang Xin and Shao Ziqin, on the way to a 5-0 win over Uzbekistan. Li Mengwen made it 3-0, Liu Ying converted a penalty and Wang Yenwen rounded off the scoring.
Ghana held onto a 1-0 lead over Senegal brought about by Evelyn Badu’s goal, despite a 63rd-minute dismissal of Anasthesia Achiaa.
