Angers have signed Usman Simbakoli on a deal to 2029, confirming the striker's return to the club. The 24-year-old Central African joins from RWDM Brussels in the Belgian second tier, with the move announced on Friday.
Simbakoli was developed at Angers between 2018 and 2020 but did not make a Ligue 1 appearance before departing for LOSC.
Angers are adding reinforcements ahead of their return. Following the loan of Lens player Anthony Bermont and the free arrival of Anthony Lopes, Simbakoli becomes the latest recruit.
He scored 12 goals in 27 matches with RWDM in the Belgian second tier.
Born in Bangui, he returns to the club that trained him and will provide competition in attack for Stéphane Gilli.
