The Eintracht attacker is on the shortlist for the Bundesliga’s September Player of the Month award. Vote now!

Can Uzun registered five goals and three assists across the first five games of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season. Three of those strikes and one assist came in September, while during that month he also took more shots than any other player in Germany’s top flight (13) and was level with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane at the top of the league’s shot efficiency ranking (+2.3).

All of which contributed to the 19-year-old being named among the nominees for the Bundesliga’s Player of the Month for September.

Over the course of the campaign so far, Uzun is…

  1. ...the first Frankfurt player ever to score in each of the first five matches of a new season.
  2. ...the third-youngest player in league history (at the age of 19 years and 320 days) to find the net in five consecutive games, behind only Jadon Sancho and Dieter Müller.

“Can has been training very, very well for a long time,” said sporting director Timmo Hardung of the midfielder after the recent away win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. “Now he’s producing it in the Bundesliga as well, which makes us all the happier. Long may it continue.”

In addition to the Frankfurt No.42, Kane (Bayern), Alejandro Grimaldo (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Kaishu Sano (1. FSV Mainz 05), Noah Atubolu (SC Freiburg) and David Raum (Leipzig) are also in the running.

The Player of the Month vote is weighted as follows this season:

  • Fan votes: 40 percent
  • Club votes: 30 percent
  • Pundit votes: 30 percent

So get voting for Uzun, Eintracht fans! Ballots are open until Sunday 5 October at 23:59 CEST.
