West Ham United’s relegation has thrust Soungoutou Magassa into the spotlight, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Galatasaray considering summer moves for the midfielder, according to Foot Mercato.

The drop to the Championship is set to squeeze finances, with broadcast and matchday income expected to fall. The club is widely expected to sanction sales to stabilise before next season.

Juventus are also monitoring the situation. Several clubs explored a loan or permanent deal in January, and his name has remained on recruitment shortlists since.

With West Ham in a weaker negotiating position, a permanent exit looks increasingly likely only 12 months after his arrival from Monaco. His first season in London was stop start, and he struggled to secure a regular role under Nuno Espírito Santo.

Magassa made 22 Premier League appearances last term, totalling 979 minutes. He was often behind Tomáš Souček, Freddie Potts and Mateus Fernandes in the midfield pecking order. Even so, recruiters still rate him as a defensive anchor with upside and see value in a summer deal.
