With fewer than two weeks left in the window, Valencia CF’s planned squad overhaul remains far from complete. According to Superdeporte, after signing Pablo Maffeo and awaiting progress on Arnau Martínez, which depends on agreement with Girona FC, the club have entered the phase to pursue a winger at prices that were unaffordable in July.
The leading name is Largie Ramazani, though he is not the only option. Leeds United have sought a sale all summer at figures Valencia cannot reach, and the club hope late-window conditions could shift, seeing him as strong value for money.
Both Ramazani and Valencia were prepared to wait until now to try for a fee below five million euros, or a loan with a purchase option and a small loan payment. A simple loan again appears unlikely from England, so Valencia will chase the most advantageous formula.
Head coach Daniel Farke has repeatedly closed the door on him at Leeds and has said publicly he does not count on him next season. That position could aid Valencia, as Leeds are intent on moving him on and, if no satisfactory offer arrives, Mestalla may attempt to negotiate the price down.
Beyond Ramazani, alternatives are in play. Swedish winger Alexander Bernhardsson was well regarded, but at that point Valencia were immersed in a full-back operation that demands significant investment.
Valencia also have the option to recruit a mobile attacker who can operate wide or inside. Any such move hinges on progress over Arnaut Danjuma’s exit, since he currently occupies that role.
