Valencia close to signing Harvey Elliott on loan from Liverpool | OneFootball

Valencia are close to signing Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott on loan, and aim to finalise the deal swiftly so he can arrive at Mestalla.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Elliott is currently Valencia’s first-choice target to shape their attack, which is Carlos Corberán’s big focus before the window closes.

The move is well advanced, but Valencia do not have a free squad spot and need to move on André Almeida or Dani Raba to register a new signing.

Elliott would primarily operate as an attacking midfielder, and can also feature on the right, giving Corberán added options. Despite his age, he has made 149 appearances for Liverpool.

If Elliott arrives, Valencia would end their interest in a return for Largie Ramazani. A loan from Liverpool would be the cheaper route. The club also want to freshen up their attack and the dressing room.
