According to Superdeporte, Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán has ruled out Arnaut Danjuma and Thierry Rendall for Sunday’s derby at Levante, matchday 24 of La Liga, scheduled for 18:30 at the Ciutat de València.

The already known absences include Mouctar Diakhaby, who is out for the season, as are Dimitri Foulquier and Julen Agirrezabala, with José Copete suspended. Academy defender Rubén Iranzo is also unavailable due to a knee injury.

Corberán said Danjuma is dealing with a psoas issue that is not considered serious. He added that Thierry has no major setback either, explaining the full-back had a medical limit of 30 minutes in last weekend’s game against Real Madrid and featured for 18.

Responding to criticism that players are rushed back, Corberán insisted he follows medical advice and never forces a return. He said the squad aims to have at least two players per position and values versatility.

Medical recommendations this week, he said, are to omit Thierry and Danjuma from the squad to avoid risks. He stressed Valencia will approach the game at full intensity with those available.
